Wegmans Food Markets is improving its digital shopping experience across consumer devices.
The regional East Coast grocery retailer is launching a new Wegmans.com website and mobile app, designed to offer a personalized digital shopping experience. The enhancements include artificial intelligence-based personalized search and product recommendations.
In addition, a new “Get It” tab shows items left to shop, while a “Got It” tab shows what customers have checked off. A “My Items” feature lets customers edit and filter suggested products, add custom items, and save, share, and print lists.
In-store shopping lists are sorted based on the selected store’s layout and include enhanced aisle locations. The app automatically switches users to the store they are in.
“Whether shopping with us online or in store, we know customers are looking for digital tools that can help make their shopping and meal planning experience faster, easier, and more inspiring,” said Erica Tickle, Wegmans VP of marketing and digital growth.
