The three suspects were arrested on Thursday, March 13, after allegedly attempting to leave the Kohl’s store in the Northern Westchester County hamlet of Cortlandt Manor with stolen goods worth $6,152.88. Authorities apprehended the trio before they could escape, New York State Police announced on Wednesday, March 19.
Investigators identified the suspects as Hartford County residents Tyeisha R. Bridges, 32, of Hartford; Shatoya A. Lewis, 25, of Hartford; and Eve G. Mitto, 23, of Windsor. Each was charged with:
- Third-degree grand larceny;
- Third-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
Further investigation linked them to an earlier Kohl’s theft in the Westchester County town of Bedford, where they allegedly stole $10,020.21 in merchandise, police said.
After their arraignment, the suspects were released on their own recognizance and turned over to Bedford Police for further investigation. Authorities said they believe the trio is part of an organized retail theft operation targeting Kohl’s stores across the Tri-State Area.
