‘That’s too personal,’ blasts Walmart shopper after asking associate to unlock intimate item – he vowed to go to CVS

A WALMART customer has shared an awkward moment with an employee after asking him to unlock an intimate item.

The shopper was left a little embarrassed after his trip to Walmart Sunday, he revealed.

“Welp, I did not expect to need to ask a Walmart associate to get me some lube out of a locked case but here we are,” X user Mars wrote in a post.

In the last year, several major retail chains – including Walmart, Target, and CVS – have begun to lock up items, quite to the despair of customers.

“Had to start getting it at CVS for that very reason. I’m not asking. That’s too personal,” a user commented under his post.

Another user said they “confidently slam” similar products on the conveyor belt and try “not to be the first to blink,” despite “dying inside.”

But it’s not just an embarrassment that is frustrating customers, but how long they have to wait to get the products unlocked.

A customer in a Las Vegas store recently waited 30 minutes to get a $6 container of ear wax remover that came in a small anti-theft container that had to be opened at the register.

They even skipped out on buying hair conditioners because they did not want to wait for another employee to unlock a different case.

“It was insane,” they wrote. “I’m so over it. Being overcharged by CVS is worth it just to not have to deal with the Walmart BS.”

Walmart has come under fire for several frustrating incidents among US customers, including being overcharged for items and having their receipts checked as they exit the store.

“I skip them every time,” the Vegas customer wrote, referring to receipt checks. “Usually, they do nothing because they know they have no legal standing to stop me.”

‘We apologize’ Walmart says after shopper points out her receipt ‘wasn’t right’ – she’d been overcharged on groceries

Earlier this week, the customer said they got in a fight with a “new” employee after they declined to show their receipt, who told them it’s “not that hard” to do.

“It’s not that hard?! Lady, I just waited 30 minutes to get a $6 earwax and you’re treating me like a criminal, trying to restrict my freedom of movement, for merely walking out the door? It’s not that hard?!” they wrote.

“F this.”

Customers are also ditching Walmart for its competitor to avoid outrageously long lines.

A Missouri customer revealed his local store only has one register open during weekdays, accusing the mega grocer of “trying to force out to use self-checkout.”

“They pay 4-6 people to watch cameras and the lanes instead of putting them on drawers. Ridiculous.”

Walmart reserves some self-checkouts for Walmart+ customers, which has infuriated regular shoppers who are forced to wait in long lines.

In addition, customers have called the chain out for overcharging for items.

Recently, Walmart settled a $45 million class action lawsuit in Florida, which accused it of overcharging for meats and citrus products.

Customers were able to collect up to $500 in the settlement.

Walmart denied all wrongdoing.
