A TARGET shopper has slammed the store over its self-checkout lines and lack of staffing.
Several customers have voiced their frustration with the store as organized retail crime continues to rise.
“Umm wtf @Target? Your Hampton Village store is a joke,” the shopper wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Empty shelves, no carts, one cashier in the entire store. I don’t work here. Why should I do self-checkout? That line is ridiculous too.”
The shopper added that the only working working on the cash register “is about 100 years old and should be enjoying retirement right now.”
It comes as another shopper spoke about her recent negative experience at Target.

“The way I actually hate going into Target now,” she tweeted. “Can’t use self-checkout if you have over 10 items and it’s closed after 8:30pm.”
She added: “This morning (a Saturday, mind you) there was only one line with a cashier open so the line was through the damn store.”
In a separate tweet, she said that the Ulta section in the store was “roped off” and there was a long line ” Starbucks which made me mad bc wtf about boycotting? Or did we forget?”
The U.S. Sun previously reported that customers have become frustrated over the store’s changes to self-checkout.

“When did your stores become a bigger joke than Walmart?” wrote an X user along with a picture of a long line of customers waiting to checkout.
Several customers urged Target to adopt the scan-and-go technology at Sam’s Club, allowing shoppers to scan their items as they shop rather than waiting at a kiosk.
Along with scan-and-go, Sam’s Club shoppers can also pay for their items through the retailer’s app.
Target apologized to the customer on X over their negative experience.
“We’re sorry that it was so busy with limited checkout availability and have shared your feedback with our leadership team for review,” a spokesperson wrote.
“We hope to see you on your next visit!”
