Tally Robot Reduces Inventory Hassles for Retail Workers

Minnesota shoplifting bust narrowly thwarts potential mass-shooting planned by suspect: ‘Deathtoamerikka’

Simbe‘s inventory robot, Tally, is a hit, according to recently released data from its Store Team Technology Sentiment Report. The robot received a nearly 90% approval rating from store managers who are using the technology. The survey, conducted among 200 store managers, highlights the positive impacts of Tally on productivity, sales, and customer service.

Many retail employees want better technology to reduce manual tasks and focus more on customer service. In-store inefficiencies like out-of-stock and pricing errors cost retailers up to 5% of their revenue annually, which could be improved with better technology.

According to the survey, store managers using Tally report significant benefits:

  • High Satisfaction: Nearly 90% of store managers want to continue using Tally.
  • Improved Customer Service: Tally automates tedious tasks, saving up to 50 hours weekly and allowing store teams to better serve customers. Three out of four managers noted improved customer support.
  • Operational Efficiency: Tally simplifies jobs, with nine out of ten managers finding it easier to complete their tasks. It also reduces order fulfillment times by optimizing pick paths.
  • Increased Sales and Loyalty: 85% of managers believe Tally helps increase sales and customer loyalty by enhancing the shopping experience.
  • Better Retention: Store teams feel more fulfilled and productive with Tally, which helps in retaining employees during labor shortages.

“As a former retail store manager, I experienced firsthand the inefficiencies of manually managing inventory and its impact on business operations and team morale,” said Jeremy Wortsman, Senior Director of Customer Success at Simbe. “We’re pleased that this inaugural survey so fully quantifies the impact of our technology on operational excellence in retail, as well as store teams’ daily experience and overall fulfillment in their roles.”
