In a TikTok video, user Deprejuna Lashai (@deprejunalashai4) said she planned to grab a few items from Walmart and then leave.

She stressed how little time she had to do so, so much so that she opted to put her baby’s car seat in the basket of her cart rather than bring the stroller inside.

After deciding which body wash to buy, she moved to the baby formula aisle.

But when the mother finally got there, all of the containers of formula were locked shut.

“My baby needs some milk, but it’s locked up so we gotta wait for attendance.”

She also had to buy specific distilled water to make bottles for her infant.

Lashai showed her bag of purchased goods to her audience, wasting no time to get back to her parked car.

As the frustrated shopper left the store, she said she saw someone getting arrested for stealing.

“We gotta get in the car because somebody’s going to jail,” said the user in haste.

“And this is why I don’t shop at Walmart…ghetto.”

This is not the only time a customer has complained about the extreme measures retailers like Walmart have taken to reduce theft.

Another TikTok user was forced to put the items she wanted to purchase, which were already locked behind glass, into another lock box just to check out.

A user expressed her anguish on X, formerly known as Twitter when she discovered that she had to ask for assistance from a Walmart attendant to unlock personal care items, such as a toothbrush.

The U.S. Sun has reached out to Walmart for comment.
