A WALMART customer has shared how he deals with receipt checks at the store following a heated exchange with a worker.
The encounter was recorded by the customer after a Walmart security guard followed him out of the store for not showing his receipt.
The TikToker (@street_justice714) snapped at the employee, letting him know he would not be following the policy.
“It’s my receipt, if you want to see the receipt you can buy your own stuff,” the TikToker said in the video.
The security guard was surprised by his refusal and asked boldly “How do I know you are not stealing anything?”
The social media snapped back at the security guard and let him know that he did not have to prove himself to be innocent.

“It’s none of my business what your job description intitles,” he claimed.

“Walmart Be Trippin,” the user captioned the video.
The majority of commenters were on TikToker’s side, claiming they would do the same thing in his situation.
“I walk right passed them. once I pay for my items, they’re mine. they have no business touching my stuff,” one person wrote.
“I don’t show my receipts. I do the same damn thing. waiting for someone to accuse me of stealing so I can sue the hell out of them,” another person revealed.
“Policy is not law,” a third person stated.
Walmart customers have been using social media to voice their issues with the retailer’s receipt-checking policy.
Despite what employees might say, Texas Constable Wayne Thompson confirmed that shoppers do not have to comply with Walmart’s policy.
“There is no law (penal code) that allows a store to demand you show your receipt,” Thompson confirmed while speaking with local CBS affiliate KHOU.
“You can walk on by if you wish.”
However, be aware that there could be consequences in certain instances.
