A former employee at a Gettysburg restaurant is accused of stealing more than $32,000 from the business.
Corey Williams, 38, of Gettysburg, is charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and other offenses.
According to charging documents, Williams was a manager at Food 101 on Chambersburg Street.

He was expected to take cash from the restaurant and deposit it at a bank next door. One of the owners said she started to have issues with Williams making the deposits.
The owners then had an accountant look over all the monthly transactions for the last two years.
The transactions included items that were ordered but later deleted from the system by a manager so they wouldn’t be included in the total sales numbers at the end of the day.
The criminal complaint states: “These items were primarily listed as cash transactions, which after being deleted would not show as requiring the funds in the register at the end of the night. Most of these deleted items were specific food items listed on the menu but on several occasions, transactions were listed as ‘Open Food ‘ for high dollar amounts, around $240, $120, and $80. These larger amounts being deleted would decrease the overall cash amount required at the end of the night to balance the register.”
Police said the total amount taken was $32,316.50.
