The robbery happened at a store in Poughkeepsie at 195 Mill St., where officers responded just before 1 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department announced on Wednesday, March 19.
According to police, a male suspect entered the premises, brandished a firearm, and demanded money from the cashier. The robber made off with an undisclosed amount of cash before escaping on foot.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Crime scene technicians processed the scene as the investigation continued.
