In-N-Out employees brought the snake into the Pasadena Humane Society after it was discovered in the drive-thru.
PASADENA, Calif. — Can I get a Double-Double with a snake on the side? You read that right.
A large python was found in a Southern California In-N-Out drive-thru Monday, according to the Pasadena Humane Society. The employees brought the snake into the humane society after it was discovered.
The snake, undetermined male or female, is in good health and shape.
“They seem to have been well taken care of, so it’s possible they only recently escaped their home,” the Pasadena Humane Society said in a social media post. “Please spread the word so we can locate their guardian! #LostTailsTuesday.”
The snake is not currently adoptable and is on “stray hold” while they wait for the owner to come forward.
No other information is available at this time, but comments on the post are making the most with the weird news.
“When I ordered animal fries, this is not what I meant,” wrote one commenter, gaining over a hundred likes.
Others took to admiring the snake from the distance the internet allows.
“I’m not into snakes but this one is a beauty,” wrote another commenter.
“This is one of the most So CA posts I’ve ever seen,” another commenter wrote.
Pythons, like the snake found in the drive-thru, are considered to be docile, low maintenance pets and good beginner snakes. These snakes can live for 20 to 30 years in captivity and about 10 years in the wild, according to the Sacramento Zoo.
They’re often called “ball pythons” because they curl up into a ball when threatened, according to the zoo.
