Video shows burglars smash into Louis Vuitton store on Magnificent Mile; CPD investigating

CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police are investigating an apparent crash-and-grab burglary at a Louis Vuitton store on the Magnificent Mile as well as several incidents around downtown.

Cellphone video from a witness captured the moment thieves rammed a vehicle into the luxury store.

The video then shows a group of people dressed in dark clothing into the store and then run out with stolen items from the store.

The people are then seen getting into other vehicles that were either parked nearby or that pull up. All the cars then speed away.

Meanwhile, Chicago police are investigating a crash at Michigan Avenue and Ohio Street.

A white SUV was flipped on its side and another vehicle was also involved in the crash.

Chicago police also surrounded a vehicle on DuSable Lake Shore Drive at Roosevelt Road.

It is not known if the incidents are related.
