
On Sunday, June 1 at 12:45 p.m., a woman was walking her dog on Willow Street when she was stopped by Wesley Garcia, 18, and Kirvin De La Rosa, 19, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens II and Montclair Police Chief Todd M. Conforti said.
Garcia, De La Rosa and a third suspect were wearing ski masks and demanded the woman’s jewelry at gunpoint, authorities said. The suspects were driving a stolen Acura TLX that was later recovered in Jersey City that day, authorities said.
Garcia and De La Rosa are charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, receiving stolen property and eluding law enforcement, authorities said. The third suspect remains at large, authorities said.
