The incident happened in Inwood, at the Smoke Bazaar smoke shop on Burnside Avenue, at around 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24.
Nassau County Police said 23-year-old Cristhian Reyes got into an argument with two male employees, one 19 and the other 33.
The argument escalated and Reyes displayed a knife, “placing them in fear for their safety,” police said. He is also accused of intentionally breaking two of the store’s security cameras.
Nobody was injured in the ordeal.
Reyes, of Island Park, was arrested without incident on suspicion of criminal mischief, criminal possession of a weapon, and menacing.
He was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Friday, Oct. 25.
